Teachers force transferred TSC man out of office

Transferred Machakos county Teachers Service Commission director Stephen Mudho and staffing officer Mary Murugami were forced out by teachers after trying to cling to their offices.  Mudho was posted to Vihiga county while Murugami will find herself in Kajiado a move that sparked celebrations amongst teachers. The embattled TSC director  was on the spot for allegedly running a cartel that solicited money from teachers for promotions to big schools.
Demotions to those who never  danced to his tune were the order of the day according to a teacher who was demoted for not parting with cash to grease Mudho’s elbows.
Mudho spannerboy was Machakos Knut executive  secretary Banbery Nthiwa whom teachers used to allegedly give bribes to pass Nthiwa. Upon learning that the TSC boss was on his way out of the county, teachers camped at the TSC headquarters after word went round that he was trying to block his transfer. This forced him to hand over last week to Peter Ireri.
Incoming Ireri has been warned against operating with a cartel headed by principal of Katoloni Secondary Wilson Wambua and Muindi Mbingu head Mike Mutua. Wambua  is nicknamed “staffing officer” by his colleagues for his frequent visits to the TSC office and updating teachers on their transfers even before they receive official letters. So happy were teachers that beer ran out in Machakos county bars as teachers celebrated.
