Luo Nyanza is a region famous and fertile in producing super conmen and conwomen. In the past week we reported about the present in Kisumu of the super conwomen operating around Kisumu’s central business district.
Once again there are reports about a superconman who is operating in Rachuonyo South and North districts.
Residents of the two sub counties have reported at Oyugis and Kosele police stations that the super conman is a young man who is allegedly using mobile phones number 0706- 015888 and 0736 572756 . So far he has conned the victims close to Sh350,000 while masquerading as a person wielding a lot of influences with the bosses or directors of Kisumu based Osienala an NGO that is running Radio Lake Victoria and Osienala TV station.
Both stations are based at Dunga Beach suburb of Kisumu. Otieno tells his victims how he can secure them employment in both stations on payment of certain amount of money which should be deposited on his bank accounts at the Co-operative Bank, Kisumu or be sent directly to his MPesa number
He is believed to hail from Karachuonyo but living in Suba where he has settled in Gwasi constituency .
Police in Oyugis town and at Kosele Police Station are investigating the reports made by numerous complainants who have been conned thousands of shillings. He is known to be using the names of the directors of Osienala and some of the well known news casters and announcers at the two radio and TV stations .
Osienala has disowned the man and requested those who come across the young man who is said to be well dressed and soft spoken to report him to the police.
