A 45-year-old man was arraigned in a Narok court charged with defiling of his 10-year daughter and infecting her with HIV/AIDs virus. The accused, Benecticus Alambo Anzaya, appeared before Narok Acting Senior Principal Magistrate Alex Ithuku Mbuvi.
He was charged that diverse dates between October last year and February this year, being the custodian of victim, he committed the offence at Majengo area in Narok town. The accused faced another charge of indecently assaulting the minor by touching her private parts. The accused who claims to be a pastor of a small congregation in Majengo area is alleged to have been staying with the daughter after his wife passed on. The man is said to have sexually molested the child before neighbours discovered his wayward behaviours and alerted the children’s department officer who swiftly moved in and rescued young girl. The accused denied the charges and was released on a bond of Sh500,000 with one surety of similar amount. The case will be heard on May 7, this year.
