As the the saying goes, history repeats itself. For the fourth time, students and teachers at Mukaa Boys High School broke into jubilation after their school emerged among the best in last year’s KCSE results in Makueni county.
The jovial students said the performance is worth celebrating though needs more efforts since they have to remain the giant in the county.

Mukaa Boys floored giants like Makueni Boys which is a national school, Mbooni Girls and Machakos Boys in neighbouring Machakos county.
Speaking to Weekly Citizen students vowed to join hands for better grades.
“We are aware that good education comes through concerted efforts and other educations ingredients,” students said.
They disclosed that given the right environment, education has the potential to turn round the fortunes of immediate beneficiaries and nation.
Mukaa has effectively altered the academic landscape not only of the entire Makueni county but of Lower Eastern.
Mukaa leads in excellent learning facilities which have made it possible to raise the general level of education in the school.
According to the school principal Francis Mutua, the core purpose of the school is to provide the best education to all the learners at the most affordable costs.
“To be sincere, our boys have made us proud. Why shouldn’t we support them to achieve even greater results than this?” noted Mutua
Mutua says that at Mukaa, the students are moulded into respectful, successful and honourable citizens of the land.
It is this noble and distinguished role that the boys high school in Kilome has  undertaken to educate students.
Mutua said that the school maintains a high degree of discipline and cases of indiscipline are severely dealt with.
“The purpose of the school is principally to develop every aspect of the student so that he is ready for future challenges,” the head said
Mutua said parents have a role in bolstering the students learning outcomes adding that the school holds parents education day.
The head added that the ability to turn learners into a success story is what has popularly been referred to as the school’s academic mix. The editor of Weekly Citizen who is an old boy of the school took his hat off for the boys and heaped accolades on the teachers.
