Matungu MCA caught pants down

Political temperatures in Koyonzo ward of Matungu in Kakamega county is taking a new turn after the area MCA George Mulama is reportedly said to have deserted his electorate since being elected two years ago.
However, the entry of youthful aspirant Harrizon Shikuku into the fray has complicated matters for Mulama whom the resident accuse for neglecting them. Mulama was recently accused by the locals of micromanaging the ward affairs from his hideout in Mumias town where he bought a plot and relocated.
The residents were recently forced to break the doors of toilets at Koyonzo market that were constructed by the ward development fund and which had been completed three months ago yet the MCA was not willing to open them officially promising to do it at his own opportune time. However, the residents went into a frenzy, prompting them to break pull the doors ajar and open them, complaining that they had nowhere to go for nature’s call.
It was at this time that the area, having the highest number of aspirants in the subcounty, has seen others already engaged in active campaigns as if elections were around the corner. At the moment, the area has more than seven aspirants scheming for the next general elections with 27-year-old Shikuku being the latest entrant.
Shikuku said that the current leadership has failed the people and promised to provide alternatives that will address the real issue that affect the residents of Koyonzo
