Gideon Moi plan to have Savula Kanu deputy

Political realignments in Rift Valley are slated to spill over to Western region as the war pitting Isaac Ruto and William Ruto hits roof top.
The move comes after the Baringo senator Gideon Moi who doubles as the Kanu chairman has secretly jostles to win the Western region support ahead of 2017 encounter against DP Ruto.
Gideon is perceived as Isaac Rutto’s ally taking on the DP in a fight for the populous Rift Valley votes.
The war of words has attracted the intervention of Uhuru Kenyatta. Last week Lugari MP Ayub Savula skipped a meeting planned by Gideon who proposed to have him as the vice chairman of the former ruling party.
Sources well placed at the venue divulged that Gideon was meant to meet Savula at Elementaita Lodge before the legislator aborted the meeting.
The source said that the legislator was looked on phone by former Kanu Mt Elgon MP John Kimkung to no avail.
The source said that the move was aimed to make inroads for Moi in Western region.
Moi’s move is predicted as a deliberate stand by the former president Moi’s son to oust Ruto from Rift Valley politics and replace him as Uhuru’s pointman in the region.
ICC matter is said to be among the factors prompting the move hence the young Moi causing sleepless nights for Ruto.
