DIRTY MONEY LANDS MDOE, HAMADI IN TROUBLE

Over10 top workers at Citizen TV have been suspended over allegations that they kill stories for a fee.
Their source of woes is Nairobi senator Mike Sonko who is said to have compromised them to blackout stories that are negative on him.
Sonko is said to have compromised the journalists including Swaleh Mdoe, Mwanahamisi Hamadi, Kimeli Arap Kimeli, Yusuf Ali and Shisia Wasilwa to kill a story in which he had been attacked and chased by a group of voters in Kajiado Central during the by-election in the area over bribery claims.
The journalists were suspended for 10 days by managing director Faridah Karonei in letters to each of them after a probe. They are said to have received Sh100,000 with Mdoe pocketing Sh60,000 and the Sh40000 being shared among the four each getting Sh10000.
In the 10 days, further probe will be conducted before they come to face the charges. For the days they are on suspension, Kanze Dena and Lulu Hassan, who mostly appear on weekends have been presenting.
Insiders say SK Macharia and his top managers have been aware workers are on the payroll of businessmen and politicians who influence stories at the media house.
Meanwhile, Jackie Maribe is caught in love triangle involving a State House communication officer and a well known comedian.
