CLAIMS NYALI CDF HAS BEEN REDUCED TO PERSONAL KITTY

Nyali MP Hezron Awiti might find it rough in the forthcoming 2017 general elections. Sources privy to the constituency’s unfolding political scenario made revelation of bad governance and massive corruption at the CDF office.
The Nyali CDF fiasco is but a tip of the iceberg with massive corruption reported and tenders said to be offered at a fee without following the prescribed guidelines provided by the procurements laws. It is claimed out that two firms - Pilli Management and ICT companies are associated with the area MP and are said to be a major beneficiary of the CDF monies released by the national government.
Most of the CDF staff are his employees at Habo Agencies, it is claimed. The treasurer of the Nyali CDF, a one Silvia Opere, is alleged to be his cashier at his office based at Habo Plaza situated on Jomo Kenyatta Avenue. Most recently, a brawl broke out at the CDF office where the accounts manager, one Mboya was frogmarched by goons alleged to have been hired by Awiti for issuing a cheque to a contractor without his consent.
Those in the know of the turn of events alleged the MP has lust for kickbacks after work is done. The matter was reported at the Nyali Police Station and is pending investigation. A CDF official lamented how the Nyali CDF is being run as Awiti’s private property and said that he will expose him further. Interestingly, the fund manager’s resignation is still raising eyebrows and he has vowed to expose the rot at the Nyali CDF office.
He blamed the legislator for the vice as he had employed those whom he claimed can manipulate. He got a rude shock to find that the hunter became the hunted, when the area MP stormed the offices and demanded an overhaul of all the CDF staff. Constituency bursary allocation has raised questions in the constituency with the Kongowea county MCA Jabess  Oduor writing a demand letter following complaints from his ward. It is now clear that the scheme of corruption of bursary allocation syndicate to poor students in the constituency was allegedly hatched by one Michael Ouko, said to be his close lieutenant. The tall, soft spoken, pot bellied master planner is accused of being behind the collapse of Standard Assurance Company Limited which was based at the TSS Tower Mombasa. Women groups can not hold their tempers, following their Uwezo Fund which is a nightmare. One Miss Nyabuto narrates how they have tried for two years to access the funds without success.
The MP, better known as Jobo  Jobo, has been in the limelight with the Famous Tom Mboya Memorial Hall, a property of the Luo, where  he went with hired goons and took over the title deed from   Samuel Oguk. The tussle erupted when the incumbent team led by Obara Kings were thrown out from the premises and forced  to record statements with the police.
Those privy to the current happenings at the Tom Mboya Memorial Hall in Mombasa paint a situation of how a majority of Luos in Mombasa are angry and will not vote Awiti come 2017.
His campaign security team which saved him from the wrath of his opponent at the height of the campaigns in 2013 - Evans Antony, Nick Okello, Argwing Nyakiti, Felix Onyuka, Edward Rogo, Samwel Odhiambo alias Supa and Isaiah Nyabinda are worried and have vowed not to repeat the mistake they did with the massive protection they accorded the area MP, according to insiders.
County representatives are not left out either, as they too have been given notice and told to pull up their socks or face the full wrath of voters come 2017. MCAs targeted for replacement are Salim Kalume of Ziwa la Ngombe ward and Amir Thoya of Frere Town ward. Those warming up for their replacement are John Oguta, Odieny Wakaya and Felix Onyuka.
Analysts say Onyuka will be challenging the area county representative David Salim who was handpicked by the sister of Governor Hassan Joho.  The MP who could not see eye to eye with Raila Odinga following the 2013 disputed party nomination has of late been seen at his Mamba Village with Raila roasting crocodile meat.
The famous Mamba Village is a tourist destination to both local and foreign tourists, who come to view thousands of species of crocodile. The former CDF staff now want the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission to move in with speed and investigate the rot at the CDF office at Nyali.
