RAILA QUESTIONS RUTO'S MILLIONS HARAMBEE DONATIONS

CORD leader Raila Odinga has questioned the spending patterns of deputy president William Ruto, saying he should be probed.

Raila made the accusation during a CORD referendum meeting at Nairobi's Bomas of Kenya, where the Okoa Kenya referendum team outlined its progress thus far in the process.

He accused Ruto and members of the Jubilee coalition of demonizing the referendum, process and said that despite their efforts, the referendum would succeed.

" Where does William Ruto get 10 million shillings to dish out in Harambee's every week?, he posed to the crowd at Bomas.

" I have asked this question several times but he is silent. We can only speculate where he gets the money from ", he added.

Raila also had a message for CORD leaders and members who are against the referendum process, saying that they are moving against the will of the public.

" We must now roll up our sleeves for the sake of our children. People are ready for this course ", he added. He also dismissed suggestions that the referendum was a war between the CORD and ruling Jubilee coalitions.

"This is not a contest between Kenyatta and Odinga. It is not a test of popularity between CORD and Jubilee. It is an initiative for the people and by the people, he said.
