COTU Secretary General
Francis Atwoli has said he has enough evidence to ensure Labour Cabinet
Secretary Kazungu Kambi does not hold any public office in future.
He said the CS who
stepped aside over the weekend, flouted Chapter Six of the Constitution on
Leadership and Integrity. "I have evidence of how he has abused his office
by commandeering vehicles belonging to the National Social Security Fund (NSSF)
for his own personal use," Atwoli said.
The Cotu chief said he
has overwhelming evidence of impropriety and abuse of office on Kambi and asked
investigators to contact him for details," Atwoli said.
He added that he has
the number plates and other details of NSSF's vehicles that were put to the
personal use of Kambi.
Atwoli claimed he also
has the details of the billion shillings rip-off relating to the Hazina Trade
Center and Tasia Housing Project emphasizing that the CS must take full
responsibility.
Atwoli was speaking
after attending a church service at the African Inland Church (AIC) in
Mutituni, Machakos town on Sunday.
He later attended a
fundraiser for the church and helped raise Sh5.2million. He gave a personal
donation of Sh1.2million in aid of the church's multipurpose hall.
Atwoli hailed
President Uhuru Kenyatta for impressing upon cabinet secretaries named by the
Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission to step aside.
