BONKE KOMWAYI ENTERS KARACHUONYO PARLIAMENTRAY RACE

As veteran area MP for Karachuonyo, Eng. James Gordon Rege's awakening to the people's demand that after his two successful terms at the helm of the constituency top leadership the time is ripe for him to contest for a higher office within the Homa Bay County, new political players are fast declaring their interests and the situation could completely change the political landscape in the area.

A name that is being whispered by many especially the youths and women in Karachuonyo constituency is that of Bonke Komwayi. A flamboyant soft spoken business guru who hails from Kanjira in West Karachuonyo is said to be the best bet to take over the constituency's leadership mantel when Rege moves for a higher office.

Much as Rege has not personally spoken about his impending move for a county position, word is rife that he could be preparing ground for a major battle for big post within the Homa Bay County.
However Karachuonyo people view the young Bonke as mature and focused politician, who could steer unity and initiate and complete developments projects in the constituency .

His body language during the fund raising to offset the funeral expenses for the former Karachuonyo Mp late Dr. Adhu Awiti and during the burial in his home turf of Kanjira clearly demonstrated that Bonke is ready to take over the constituency leadership from Rege after the Engineer have served the people of Karachuonyo diligently for 10 years.

During the week long preparation for the Dr. Adhu's funeral Bonke displayed his capability to consolidate the support of a number of top notch politicians, corporate leaders and businessmen from Karachuonyo and beyond to drive the constituency development agenda.

With Rege out of the race, locals believe that it will be almost a walk over for Bonke who have started to initiate projects for the youths and women in the constituency.
