CHAOS AT NZAUI BRANCH KNUT AGM

Nzaui Knut branch annual general meeting nearly ended unceremoniously after teachers demanded the removal of Mukaa subcounty education staffing officer Jackson Ondiba who kept off the meeting held at Matiliku Multipurpose Hall.

Trouble started when Nzaui subcounty staffing officer Jane Rono tried to defend Ondiba against teachers’ accusations that Ondiba has been soliciting bribes from teachers by intimidating and threatening to transfer them. Teachers said Ondiba boasts that he is untouchable because Makueni county TSC director Johnson Nyakina is his neighbour in Suneka, Kisii.

According to the irate teachers, Ondiba is also allegedly a supplier of books to secondary schools in the area. Knut dignitaries led by national second vice chairman Wycliffe Omucheyi and national trustee James Muuo watched in disbelief as teachers bayed for Ondiba’s blood. Also present were Makueni branch secretary Onesmus Ndivo and treasurer Joseph Musyimi.
